Freak Lunchbox - Retail Store and Packaging Department Manager

We're Hiring! Freak Lunchbox is looking for a Retail Store and Packaging Department Manager to join their exciting, iconic and growing retail candy business. The Retail Store Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Barrington Street location as well as their Online Candy Store and packaging departments, while upholding the Freak Lunchbox vision and mission statements. This position is ideal for a candidate who enjoys a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.

This position is based in our flagship Barrington Street location. The Retail Store manager role will require you to prioritize the retail and in-store customer service environment. You will work directly with our General Manager, and Store Supervisor to create the ideal in store experience for this very busy location. This position requires a valid drivers license along with the ability to lift multiple boxes.

What you'll be doing:

• Overseeing day-to-day operations at their busy flagship retail location
• Overseeing day-to-day operations of their fast-growing Online Candy Store and packaging departments- Coordinating and ordering all packaging departments
• Providing in-store and online customer service
• Communicate with General Manager and managers at out of province locations
• Maintaining stock and warehouse inventory
  
• Reviewing inventory levels at 8 corporate locations
• Managing home delivery service
• Ensuring employees work productively and develop professionally
  
• Ensuring staff follows health and safety regulations
• Providing solutions to issues
• Ensuring merchandising standards are upheld

What you'll bring:

• 2+ years proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or similar role
  
• Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
• Familiarity with Shopify platform
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to manage a diverse staff
• Experience with merchandising and visual design
• Ability to calmly handle HR issues such as employee conflicts
• Availability for evening and weekend work
