Job Description

For over 135 years, St. John Ambulance has been training Ontarians annually in first aid and other applied health and safety courses, including related products, and remains dedicated to saving lives at work, home, and play. St. John Ambulance Ontario is offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified and ambitious individual to take the role of Financial Analyst at our Provincial Head Office located in Toronto.

Essential Duties:

  • Input Pension, Benefits, CRM Licence charges and Revenue Sharing invoices and quarterly Certificate Insurance billing and other updates from/for Branches
  • Reconcile payments by credit cards with Moneris statement and BMO Statement
  • Reconcile Master card statements and Amex portal payments
  • Input invoices for training certificates, graphic services and other miscellaneous invoices as required
  • Complete Nevada program requirements including quarterly reporting & monthly payments
  • Complete investment reporting and Financial Statements including journal entries
  • Review monthly reconciliations from branches ensuring adherence to accounting principles
  • Assist in preparation of materials for annual audits
  • Prepare inventory drop ship & adjustments
  • Provide support to Business Development: Maintain comprehensive records of client data in customer relations management system (Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Constant Contact, Click Dimension)
  • Generate weekly and monthly sales and new contacts reports
  • All other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • Post-secondary education with focus on accounting; working towards a professional accounting degree.
  • Working knowledge of accounting and computer software specifically Microsoft Business Central and Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of database software.
  • Relevant work experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving/analytical and time management skills
