We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a legal assistant work, however having a strong administrative background would be seen as equivalent.
Our successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
- currently reside in New Brunswick
- a minimum of 1 year legal assistant experienced preferred
- solid organizational and time management skills
- ability to work independently and collaboratively with our team
- able to multitask and know how to prioritize assignments
- pay strong attention to detail and produce great quality work
- strong verbal and written communication in English (French is an asset)
- able to maintain confidentiality at all times
- knowledge of technology in an office setting and working with Microsoft 365
- have a strong work ethic and be punctual
- have reliable transportation
Your primary responsibilities would be as follows:
- prepare correspondence, memos, assign Tasks, and maintain a limitation system
- assist with digital dictation and timekeeping
- organize and maintain electronic and paper filing
- provide relief reception when required
- other legal assistant duties as requested
