Job Description

IAA Holdings, LLC. a leading provider of loss recovery services to the insurance industry in Canada, has an opening for a Business Systems Analyst at our Corporate office in Mississauga, ON.

The Business Systems Analyst will serve as a liaison between business areas and IT project teams (Application Development and QA) to ensure products /applications support the business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business and system processes and procedures related to assigned applications.
  • Gather and document requirements related to assigned applications in various forms such as business requirements, functional requirements, use cases, and/or process flows.
  • Based upon project need, research and provide input on User Experience Design concepts related to assigned applications.
  • Work with Application Development, Quality Assurance, and end-user representatives or business stakeholders to ensure that deliverables meet functional specifications.
  • Capture, analyze, and document enhancement requests for specified IAA systems.
  • Collaborate with key business owners of IAA systems to prioritize enhancement requests.
  • Perform other job-related duties as directed by the Product Manager.
  • Manage project artifacts effectively ensuring a consistent practice is followed.
  • Effectively facilitate requirements elicitation meetings by preparing in advance and prepping the participants for the key decisions which are required.
  • Support the Product Manager with managing their project artifact needs, such as project folder management, agenda preparation, and meeting minutes.
  • Other duties as assigned per business needs.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required. Must be able to communicate with everyone from end-users, technical team members, and management.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills are required.
  • Demonstrated facilitation and problem-solving skills and an understanding of Software/System Development Lifecycle methodologies are required.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and structure work to meet the work requirement.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office.
  • Good customer service skills.

  • Must be able to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.
  • Work comfortably in a fast-paced service-oriented environment.
  • Work evenings, nights, and/or weekends, as necessary.
  • Must work well under pressure and effectively manages demands to ensure work is completed on time.

Education and Certification Requirements

  • Candidate must have a 4-year degree (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of four years prior experience in information systems.
  • At least two years’ experience as a Business Analyst is preferred.
  • Must continue to enhance technical knowledge and skills through research and experimentation, in-house and external classes.
  • Some experience in working with packaged software, including implementation and testing, is beneficial.
  • This position requires good team player with good communication skills, excel skills
