Job Description

We are looking for a ECE to be part of our team.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Lead children and adapt daily routines in order to stimulate and develop their intellectual,

physical and emotional growth, ensuring their safety, security and well-being at all times.

  • Execute all daily routines with scope of ECE, CCLR (Child Care Licensing Regulation)

principals and as directed by manager.

  • Program/Curriculum implementation, by leading and developing activities, that promote

literacy and math concepts, by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to

local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media

of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity.

  • Daily, weekly, monthly recording (weekly planning, incidents, water

running, etc.)

  • Prepare and Supervise suitable indoor and outdoor childcare activities.
  • Assess the abilities, interest and needs of children and discuss progress

or problems with parents and other staff members, for support.

  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing and toilet

habits.

  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationship with co-workers and

community service providers, working with children.

  • May co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators’ assistants.
  • Report incident whenever required.
  • Keep environment clean, including sanitizing, sweeping, dusting,

washing dishes, chores to be allocated with staff.

  • Prepare and Support Parent Orientation Meetings and Open Houses.
  • Communicate via agenda with parents and be open to scheduling

meetings for parents when necessary.

  • Ensuring that the facility and all equipment is clean, well-maintained,

and safe

  • Establishing policies and procedures, including disciplinary policies
  • Participating in on-going in-service and education development

opportunities, and participating in the ongoing development and

evaluation of the program’s goals and objectives

  • Providing a classroom environment that encourages parent participation
  • Providing adequate equipment and activities
  • Ensure and apply all applicable compliance with Health Authority &

CCLR.

  • Facilitate maintenance with scope of an Employee Policy.

  • Execute all daily routines within scope of ECE and CCLR principles

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $25.00 per hour
