Tutor Teach (TT) came to life as a way to teach children in the community. Since its inception, it has grown rapidly to a team of nearly 200 certified instructors - who are making waves in the next generation's lives! Tutor Teach is predominantly located in the Edmonton area but assists students nationwide! Tutor Teach offers education, extracurricular, and music services to students of all ages daily.

TT's goal is to fill the ever-present learning gaps that impact each student's ability to thrive and feel confident in the classroom. The education system is overloaded and cannot provide 1:1 assistance for students, so Tutor Teach has stepped in with a talented roster of accredited instructors to propel students in their education, skills, and self-confidence.

TT's instructors are passionate team players, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of each student. Our instructors are provided with custom, proprietary lessons to use with their students to help fortify the learning process. We meet & beat expectations with a retention rate of 98%!

Overview

• Teach students ranging from K-12 + University online and/or in-person in 30, 45 & 60 minute (or more) increments.
• Complete strategic assessments of each student's abilities, learning style, and personality to assist them and their goals best.
• Research and develop custom lesson plans for individual students.
• Provide detailed feedback to students and parents.
• Build long-term relationships with each student to help them succeed academically and personally.
• Create a safe space for students to learn, flourish and gain confidence.

Requirements

• We are looking for Elementary and High School Math Teachers/Instructors

Experience:

• Experience working with children, teaching and/or mentoring.
• Experience using Google suite is preferred but not required.
• The ability to understand curriculum outlines and expectations.

Education:

• Certified Teachers (BEd) and/or
• Completed BA, BSc, BKin, BPEd, BComm, BBA - other accreditations considered
• BEd Students & University Students with teaching experience

Responsibilities:

• Schedule lessons with students and run them on time.
• Select relevant curriculum-based lessons and customize them to the students.
• Provide a feedback email to the parents/guardians.
• Remain accountable to the TT team by communicating and honing your role as a teacher.
• Exude punctuality and preparedness for all interactions while following TT values.
• Teach with compassion, understanding, knowledge and remain goal-focused.
• Forge relationships with students and parents with open and prompt communication.
• Assess each student to create a baseline for their learning, education & confidence.
• Formulate a plan for each student to crush their goals, and feel confident and successful in their studies.
