Job Description

Canuel Caterers was initiated 29 years ago by two entrepreneurial brothers with the ambitions of starting up a company that would rival other large, multi-national food service providers in Canada. We are able to attract new clients while retaining our existing client base, such as our first account in the lower mainland, which after 29 years, we still retain today. We have 45+ school accounts combined in the Lower Mainland and the Interior of British Columbia, in addition to multiple corporate accounts. Supported by strong management, sales and operational team, we offer a variety of styles of service for lunch service in these facilities, including meal programs for schools.

Canuel Caterers is looking for a Regional Manager to join our team!

Responsibilities would include managing the daily operations of our multiple high school cafe kitchens and meal programs in Kamloops. The Regional Manager would be travelling between all locations to work and support our team, hire and train employees, quality control, and ensure all company policies and food & safety protocols are being followed. Responsibilities would also include the weekly ordering and delivering of food and supplies.

The following is an example of what this job entitles:

  • Going over monthly P&L’s for all locations with the Operations Manager and rectifying concerns.
  • Assisting in training with a hands-on approach.
  • Checking on each location on a weekly basis and spotting which locations need the most support
  • Provide feedback, and motivation while working side by side with each staff member while ensuring all company standards and policies are being followed.
  • Check the quality and freshness of food and take immediate actions to correct deficiencies. Monitor daily prep and waste sheets. Follow up with issues.
  • Ensuring all paperwork is being done correctly
  • Filling in shifts when needed
  • Helping with large Catering Events

The Regional Manager position includes the following:

  • Contract Position Period: Mid-August to end of June with Winter, Spring and Summer breaks off.
  • Hourly Rate: TBD
  • Car Allowance
  • Gas: Work Gas Usage Covered when travelling to and from locations
  • Phone Allowance

This position's work hours would be Monday to Friday day shifts

Must have a valid Food Safe Certificate and pass a Criminal Record Check.
