Memorial Medical Clinic located at 595 Broadway in Winnipeg, MB is looking to hire a full-time Medical Office Assistant. We are looking for someone to work Monday - Friday . Potential shift times include 8:30-3:30, 8:30-4:30, and 9:00-5:00. Availability to work the odd Saturday shift would be considered an asset. 32 - 40 hours per week will be offered.
Position Requirements
- must be either certified as a Medical Office Assistant, Nursing Unit Assistant, or have experience working in a medical clinic as a receptionist
- must have training in regards to the PHIA (Personal Health Information Act)
- must be able to work with both paper and electronic medical charts
- knowledge of Accuro EMR software is required
- must be able to provide exceptional customer service to the patients of the clinic
- must be able to multitask
Job Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Office Assistant is responsible for assisting the physicians at Memorial Medical Clinic and for serving the patients of the clinic. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- greet patients to the clinic
- answer phones
- book appointments
- chaperone a physician procedure, if necessary
- assist a physician if needed
- usher patients to the examination room
- scan and fax documents,
- keep the clinic clean and tidy.
